When my birthday rolled around this year, I decided to keep it simple. I gathered up a few close friends, and we had a picnic in the park (that's about as outdoorsy as I get.) It was lovely as can be, and I can easily say it was one of the best birthdays I've had in a while.
Thank goodness the rain held out! There was absolutely no shortage of flowers or sunshine. Oh, and the food was delicious. What more can you ask for on your special day?
My friends and I had plenty of catching up to do, and I'm pretty sure that over the course of two hours we had already finished an entire pack of Snapple. There was also some classic feeding of the ducks/geese, an essential picnic activity. However, it might have been a little untraditional to feed them potato chips. Oh well, they'll thank us later for introducing them to junk food.
