Hello, blogosphere! Now that I'm a graduate, you can count on more frequent posts and increased vocabulary (just kidding about the vocab!) But really, I'm excited to have more time to do what I love... sharing with all of you! Summer is here, so there is much in store :)
Recently, I went on a road trip to South Carolina with my family and best friend, so I wanted to post some photos of all the random excursions we went on! We did everything from bike riding to shell hunting. It was an absolute blast!
We stayed in a small town, called Beaufort, which is not to far from Charleston and Savannah. So naturally, we made day trips to the two classic cities of the South. However, as a lover of small towns, I also enjoyed getting to know my way around Beaufort itself.
I must say though, nothing beats Charleston. I absolutely love its colorful houses and cobblestone streets, not to mention its amazing seafood restaurants. A piece of friendly advice: go to the Early Bird Diner for breakfast. Just do it... you will not regret a thing (especially the chicken & waffles!)
Strangely enough, the day we spent in Beaufort stands out the most to me, simply because I knew nothing about Beaufort before this trip! I loved scouting Hunting Island Beach for shells and climbing up the lighthouse for a view of the whole island.
Our final day was well spent in Savannah. We toured a restored home, ate some fabulous food, and took in the sights. What a great way to start the summer! I hope you all are enjoying yours. xoxo Jess.
