A Little En{light}enment

So that is quite possibly the cheesiest pun I've ever made, but the real point of this blog post is not to make you cringe at my terrible jokes. I want to take you behind the scenes of The Little Things so that you can look at me in my native, not nearly as polished habitat. As a blogger, I have the ability to carefully curate how you see my daily life. What I'd like to share today is, don't be fooled! We've all got online identities that are way more glamorous than who we are sans Instagram filters and creative captions.

I for one do not go thrifting everyday. Not every one of my belongings is DIY. I do not live in a gingerbread house where I bake my days away. More often than not, my nails are not manicured. Crazy, right? Looks like I'm not cut out to be the next Martha Stewart or Lauren Conrad.

And I am okay with that :) I'm messy, klutzy, and flying off the seat of my sweatpants. When I light a few candles, spray myself with perfume and curl up with a good book, I feel pretty darn classy (TREAT YOSELF!) The simple moments are my favorite. Those moments inspired this blog after all! So don't feel like you're not living right if you don't have it all together. Our online identities are only a facet of ourselves. No one is as perfect as their profile! So delight in the perfect moments, not being a perfect person. xoxo Jess.
